The two hobbies, Model Railroading and Military Modeling, have long histories. Each of these modeling hobbies have their own popular scales that sometimes do not match between the two hobbies. This no match in scales kept model railroaders from creating a complete, special military train with all the needed rolling stock and military equipment. The growth in the capabilities of 3D Printing has reduced this mismatch of scales. 3D Printing has now given model railroaders the ability to create military equipment in the right scale and in the needed quantities to create those military trains. This page will explain how Mike found and created all the HO rolling stock and military equipment for his HO scale military train model on his T&SL Model Railroad in the following arrangement:

  • Finding Specific Troop Carrying Cars - What and Where

  • Finding Specific Freight Cars - What and Where

  • 3D Printing of Military Equipment - What and How

  • This video shows Mike's Military Train's troop carrying cars and flat cars with army equipment (3D printed).
