The hobbies of model railroading and military modeling both enjoy rich, long histories. Historically, however, each hobby developed its own distinct scale standards that rarely aligned. This mismatch often prevented model railroaders from building authentic, fully-equipped military trains, as the necessary rolling stock and military equipment simply weren't available in matching scales. The rise of high-quality 3D printing has finally bridged this gap. With 3D printing, model railroaders can now produce accurate military equipment in the exact scales and quantities needed to assemble these specialized trains.
